"The shortest distance between two people is a story."
- Patti Dingh
On Veterans Day, November 11th, The Fall 2023 Breach cohort shared their stories of service to a packed house at The Arkansas Repertory Theatre. The afternoon was the culmination of eight weeks of work by the group of veterans and family members. True courage was displayed by our group, and we could not be prouder!
Over the eight weeks during the workshop the cohort explored the values of loyalty, duty, respect, honor, integrity and personal courage coupled with text from William Shakespeare to develop and craft their own stories, which they shared on stage at The Rep.
Following the production was an engaging talkback with General (ret.) Wesley Clark, Dr. Rick Owen, and Riverside Founding Artistic Director Ben Grimes.
Thank you to our participants for your trust and bravery and thank you to The Rep for their support and partnership.
Finally, we want to say a huge thank you to our generous sponsors General (ret.) Wesley and Gert Clark, Jim Gifford, The Windgate Foundation, and the Arkansas Arts Council.
